Meet my girl...

Preethi is 23 years old. She is a classical dancer trained in Bharatnatyam and Mohiniattam but, sadly, has hung up her chelanga for quite a long time now. She worships the dancer in Shobana and considers her the most beautiful woman and the most talented actress/dancer. She listens to different kinds of music, Ghazals and old Hindi-classics being her favourites. She is also into painting and does other art-n-crafts things. She has shelves racked with pots that she painted. She has a penchant for collecting coffee mugs and jute bags. She also likes to blog and write short-stories when she finds the time. Her favourite thing to do, though, is to curl up in her bed and sleep for hours together. She loves good-food (but not a glutton, as she says).

What I think of her...

Effervescent, lovely, loving and a winning smile. That's her! She is someone that cares about people - a little too much sometimes. She takes to people in a jiffy and makes even the uneasy feel at home. My exact opposite, she can talk for long and keep anyone engrossed with her narration. She, perhaps, has more friends than the number of people I have ever spoken to.

And that smile! The earliest memory I have of her is the way she laughed over something the first time we met. Perhaps I fell in love with her even then. She is a bit of a romantic. Loves white roses and dreaming up romantic rendezvous. She loves to cook though she is not adventurous about the food she eats. She loves her chunky/junk jewellery and it is now a sort of trademark with her.

No one knows and understands me the way she does and no one can love me the way she does. She is what I am not and completes me in every aspect.

And he is...

Bijesh is 27 years old. He loves classic and hard rock (which I can't stand or understand) though he would listen to every kind of music with the exception of carnatic and filmi (which I like very much). He likes to experiment with different cuisines (read - can eat anything crawling/flying/walking) and his current favourite is Sushi. For interest's sake, he began photography and guitaring but dropped them mid-way, as he does with many other things (his only two long-term interests have been biking and me (wink)). His expensive camera is now moulding in the cupboard and the guitar is a decorative item in the house. Actually, his only real hobby is motorcycling. He loves lazing on his bean bag with his ipod belting out music. He calls himself a 'good cook' and attempts cooking under some expert guidance :)

What I think of him...

He is an introvert and loves being in his own world, surrounded by a close circle of few friends. A man of few words, it takes him a long acquaintance to open up to someone. His punctuality is something I love to hate.

He's a very good listener and a very very patient person. Contrary to me, he doesn't attach much importance to appearances, external looks, clothes etc. Whenever I complain about any of his outfits he would dismiss it with "how does it matter?", but it's altogether a different thing that I would never see him wear that shirt or tee again. I absolutely love his writing, his style in particular. His imagination is always brilliant, delicate and many a times little weird :-). He could convey volumes through his words and poems, things which couldn't have been put across better in spoken words. He's someone who can never as much as hurt a fly. His words, actions everything is measured and always careful.

Sensitive, sensible and selfless is what I see him as. Biju would say that probably no one else knows him as well as I do but I have always felt that's so much more I need to know and understand about him, still I know one thing for sure that no matter what there wouldn't be anything unacceptable about him to me.
